Iranian Forces State Strike on US Base in Bahrain, During Widespread Counterattacks.
Iranian forces say they have struck a US naval base in Manama, as the country executed strikes throughout the Middle East in retaliation for a "massive" and ongoing assault targeting the nation by the United States and Israeli forces.
Huge plumes of black smoke were seen rising from an vicinity near the main base of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The scope of any impact is uncertain and the American officials has not commented.
Regional Interceptions
In other parts of the Middle East, the UAE, Qatar and the State of Kuwait - which all house American military installations - reported they have intercepted incoming projectiles in their territorial skies.
In the Qatari capital, Qatar's defence ministry said it had successfully engaged several missiles apparently targeting the al-Udeid air base, the biggest US military installation in the Middle East.
IRGC Statement
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard stated it was targeting American facilities and interests as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in response for the attack on the Islamic Republic carried out by the US and Israel on Saturday morning.
That initial attack - executed at around 06:15 GMT - has so far focused on locations linked to the Iranian leadership, with US President Donald Trump encouraging the Iranian people to revolt against the regime.

In the State of Israel, sirens were heard across the country after the Israeli military said it had detected an barrage of missiles from Iran.
The Ministry of Defence of the United Arab Emirates announced that the country has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"Emirati air defenses engaged the projectiles with great effectiveness and shot down a series of missiles," the statement continued.
It said missile fragments fell on a neighborhood in Abu Dhabi, causing some structural damage and the death of one civilian.
The US Air Force is stationed at Al Dhafra Air Base, south of Abu Dhabi, along with the UAE Air Force.
